CON-Quest ("we," "us," or "our") operates the mobile application known as CON-Quest. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Information we collect
Information you provide:
- Email address
- Username / Handle
- Profile picture
- Cosplay name (optional)
- Fandom preferences
- Location data (if you enable location services or Cosplay Radar)
- Convention RSVPs and meetup details
- Chat messages and content you create
We also automatically collect device information (including model and operating system), IP address, app usage data, and crash and performance data.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account
- Show relevant conventions and users
- Operate chat, meetups, Cosplay Radar, and Tea Room features
- Send important notifications
- Improve and secure the app
- Enforce our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines
Data security
We use industry-standard security measures. However, no system is completely secure.
Your rights
You may access, update, or delete your account and data from within the app. You may also request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting us.
Depending on where you live, applicable state privacy laws may give you rights to know or access the personal information we collect, correct inaccurate information, delete information, obtain a portable copy of your data, opt out of sale or sharing, opt out of profiling and targeted advertising, and limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information. We do not sell personal information.

Location data and Cosplay Radar
Cosplay Radar and certain other features may collect precise geolocation data. Precise location data is considered sensitive personal information under many state privacy laws.
- We collect and use precise geolocation data only after you provide clear, affirmative opt-in consent.
- You may turn location services off at any time in your device settings or within the app.
- Live location pings used for Cosplay Radar are retained only for as long as necessary to provide the feature and are not stored indefinitely.
Children's privacy
CON-Quest is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.
Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Chat and meetup data may be retained for a limited period for safety and moderation purposes.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes.
